White Box Testing vs Black Box Testing

Depending upon who is testing or what is the purpose of testing, testing can be classified into White Box or Black Box.

White Box Testing	Black Box Testing
Definition: White box testing is a software testing method in which the tester is concerned with internal structure & design of the application.	Definition: Black Box testing is a software testing method in which the tester is not concerned with the internal structure & design of the application.
Path testing & Branch testing are some of the testing techniuqes of White Box testing	Equivalence partitioning, Boundary value analysis & Pairwise testing are some of the black box testing techniques
Typically done during unit testing phase by developers	Integration & user acceptance testing by testers
